  • Promoting professional excellence through educational programs, communication networks, and effective business relationships; and
  • Building productive partnerships with the community.

  • The American Association of Occupational health Nurses has been a leader in workplace health and safety since 1942, representing more than 11-thousand members across the country.
  • Occupational and environmental health nursing is a specialty practice that offers health and safety services to workers. These nurses promote good health and safe practices on the job and help injured or sick workers return to their job.

Occupational health nurses balance the best interest of both workers and employers. For workers, these nurses help keep them from being injured on the job, becoming disabled, or losing income. For companies, these nurses are able to save millions of dollars by eliminating injuries and reducing insurance and medical costs.
