The Foothills Association consists of nurses who are practicing in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing. These nurses either reside or practice in the following counties: Alexander Alleghany Ashe Caldwell Catawba Davie Iredell Rowan Surry Watauga Wilkes Yadkin
Foothills meets quarterly. The meetings start at 3:30 p.m. with
the business
meeting conducted during dinner that
begins at 5:00- 5:45pm with the educational program that continues after
dinner. Programs provide CEU’s dealing with issues concerning occupational
health nurses.
Meetings are held at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville Two scholarships are offered for each meeting to assist nurses financially as needs arise. FAOHN also participates in community projects at each meeting. A volunteer from one of our counties chooses a project from a non-profit organization and obtains a list of supplies needed. Each member is asked to contribute to this project. Congratulations Foothills! Our chapter has become a member of an elite group of chapters who have received bonze level membership recognition.
